Here is an excellent life hack that you will love! Let me tell how you can unclog your shower drain in two minutes? This is where you want to be! Don’t live with slow drains!
Here are the things you need:
- Vinegar or Hydrogen Peroxide
- Baking soda
- Hair conditioner or body wash
- Brush for scrubbing the drainer
- Drain cleaner stick
- Q-tip
You might be doing your best not to let hair drain when showering, but it is tough to keep all of it out. The first thing you will do is unscrew the shower filter. Are you ready for what you will see? It might be all covered with smudge and disgusting, but we will make it look new in a couple of minutes! You will use one of these drain cleaner sticks to eliminate all the stuck hair and other stuff. Try to get the stick down as fast as possible, hold on to the handles, and pull up.

Next, we will make that terrible smell go away. You need vinegar, or you can also use hydrogen peroxide. Pour a generous amount of vinegar in there. Then you will take some baking soda and pour a generous amount again. This will help to kill the odor! I added a little more baking soda and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
While waiting, I found this dollar tree brush which perfectly fits in my shower drain for the next step. You can use any brush you’d like. We will clean up the area around the drain. Put some body wash or hair conditioner on the brush to help lubricate and loosen up anything. After you scrub the area, pour a glass of warm water to see cleaned spots. For the little grooves the brush didn’t clean; you can use a Qtip to clean them. Next, pour another cup of water, close the lid, and voila! You unclogged your shower drain in 2 minutes!
