Step 1
You made your banana smoothie, and now your blender is so sticky! First, rinse the container with hot water. Try to get rid of most of the leftovers in the container. Then fill with hot water till halfway.
Step 2
Get some Dawn dish soap or all-natural Castile liquid soap. Put a few drops of soap into the container. Set down the blender container on the motor base. Make sure to place the lid and turn the blender on. In less than 5 seconds, your soapy mixture will clean up perfectly!

If your Vitamix formed a cloudy white film over the time you have used it, there is a solution for that too! This is just the residue from hard water stains. You will need white vinegar for your homemade cleaning solution.
After rinsing off the leftover food with hot water from your blender, fill it with two cups of warm water and one cup of white vinegar. Next, close the lid and blend it for fifteen seconds. Lastly, let your blender soak overnight. The acidity from the vinegar will remove the cloudy film from the container! You can rinse it and let it air dry the following day!
