I have a mind-blowing hack for you! The best part is that you can do it on any stainless steel surface, stovetop, oven, shower door, and refrigerator! This simple trick even works on your stainless steel sink! Here is a mind-blowing kitchen wrap hack that is so easy!
Even though we have soft water, you can see water stains and marks on the sink. So I did this trick for those hard water spots. You can do this with vinegar, but using vinegar and a sponge will not yield perfect results.
Things you need:
- Gloves
- Citric acid
- Kitchen wrap
- Sponge
First, pour some citric acid into a small bowl and add warm water. You will have more like a paste texture. Then using the soft side of the sponge, get some of the paste and rub it on your sink. Keep your face away during this process because it can get to your nose and cause a little tinge. Rub the paste all around the sink and stains. You will do the same process for other places too. You can do this on your stovetop, shower doors, or anything with a hard water stain.
Next, grab your kitchen wrap and cover the area you put the citric acid. The best time to do this is at night, so it stays longer, but I also left for two hours. Depending on your stains, you can decide how long to leave them. The drier your sink gets, those water spots start shining.
While waiting for the area to dry, you can remove mineral deposits around your faucet using razor blades! It will be satisfying to eliminate all the mineral deposits and see the difference! Then you can pour some rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide into your sink. This will kill the bacteria in the drain and make the smell better. You can even drop some of your favorite essential oil! Another fun idea is to get this disinfectant fabric and air freshener and spray it on your cleaning toothbrush. Then you can rub the flaps of your garbage disposal. It gets super gross there and causes a terrible smell!
It is time to peel the plastic wrap off and see the results! I had a little leftover paste, so I used that and rubbed the surface one more time before rinsing it off! Finally, you can rinse and dry it to see the fantastic shine! It looks better than ever!
This is a bonus tip that you will love! Get your coconut oil and a microfiber cloth. Using the microfiber towel, buff around the coconut oil on the surface you cleaned with citric acid. This will help to repel water so that you don’t have to remove water stains often.
